About
Oak Craft Construction is a general contractor specializing in deep energy retrofits and residential renovations – prioritizing comfort and sustainability from start to finish.
With 20+ years of construction experience under his tool belt Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter Richard Henry has worked on countless industrial, commercial and residential projects. From high end multi-million dollar homes in Kelowna to civil and commercial projects in Saskatchewan, his depth of knowledge and experience is vast.
Richard is passionate about creating comfortable intentionally planned spaces for his clients to enjoy, and continually honing his skills to better his craft and further local industry.
Richard’s experience offers an invaluable perspective into the unique challenges of residential renovations, which is why a great deal of emphasis is placed on pre-project planning and organization for all of our projects. Working with a tight knit team also allows us to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest level of craftsmanship possible, without shortcuts.
Our team is continually attending building science courses and seminars to stay up to date on the ever changing local requirements and advancements in the industry, ensuring our projects are executed with future generations in mind.
When he’s not on the tools you can find Richard ripping around the Nature Park on his OneWheel, enjoying the local lakes in his kayak, or hanging out with all three of his cats (his wife Kat + his two felines Amber & Margot).
We acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional unceded territory of the Ktunaxa Nation. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work in this territory.
